09/15/1989 Special QQ 035 Special Meeting Board of County Commissioners Friday, September IS, 1989 Key Largo A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners convened at 12:30 p.m. on the above date at the Sheraton Key Largo with the Upper Keys Board of Realtors. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Wilhelmina Harvey, Commissioner Eugene Lytton, Commissioner John Stormont, and Mayor Michael Puto. Absent from the meeting was Commissioner Douglas Jones. Also pre- sent were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Tom Brown, County Administrator; members of the Press and Radio; and the general public. Mayor Puto called the meeting to order and addressed the audience concerning landfills, taxes, roads, jails, and tourism. Commissioner Lytton discussed jails and roads. Commissioner Stormont discussed waste problems and roads. Commissioner Harvey discussed assessments and taxes. Mayor Puto then closed the meeting with a summary of the issues facing the County Commission and possible solutions. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. * * * * *
