03/13/1990 Regular RR 1 1 6 Special Meeting Board of County Commissioners Tuesday, March 13, 1990 Key Wes t A Special Meeting of the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners convened at 2:00 p.m. on the above date in the Chapel on Stock Island in Key West. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Eugene Lytton, Commissioner Michael Puto, and Mayor Pro Tern Wilhelmena Harvey. Absent from the meeting were Commissioner Douglas Jones and Mayor John Stormont. Also present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Randy Ludacer, County Attorney; Garth Coller, Assistant County Attorney; Tom Brown, County Administrator; County Staff; members of the Press and Radio; and the general public. Mayor Pro Tem Harvey announced that Commissioner Jones and Mayor Stormont were unable to be present and had so notified the Clerk to the Commission. COMMISSIONERS' ITEMS Commissioner Lytton discussed the memorandum from Mayor Stormont in reference to the actions at the Public Hearing on the variance on March 8th. Commissioner Lytton entered into the record both his affidavit and Mayor Stormont's response. Motion was made by Commissioner Lytton and seconded by Commissioner Puto to adopt the following Resolution reversing the Monroe County Planning Commission's Resolution No. 10-90, in which they denied a dimensional (height) variance to the State of Florida and Monroe County for a proposed Government Center to be located at approximately Mile Marker 48.S in Marathon. The Board then proceeded with a discussion of the contents of the Resolution. Randy Ludacer, County Attorney, discussed the findings included in the Resolution. Roll call vote was unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. 204-1990 See Res. Book No. 89 which is incorporated herein by reference. The County Attorney discussed the Board's action. Commissioner Lytton indicated that it was his intention that the preceding motion be a substitute for the motion taken at the Public Hearing on March 8th.
