Marathon
A Public Hearing concerning the proposed right-of-
way for the Cross Big pine Key Arterial Access Road convened
at 7:00 p.m. on the above date at the Marathon Sub-
Courthouse, Marathon. Present and answering to roll call
were Commissioner William Freeman, Commissioner Eugene
Lytton, Commissioner Michael Puto, Commissioner John
Stormont, and Mayor Jerry Hernandez, Jr. Also present were
Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Tom Brown, County Administrator;
Calvin Allen, Assistant County Attorney; Rob Wolfe,
Assistant County Attorney; Dent pierce, Public Works
Director; Charles Pattison, Director of Planning, Building &
zoning; Bob Harris and Harry Parker of Post, Buckley, Schuh
& Jernigan, Inc.; members of the Press and Radio; and the
general public.
The following individuals spoke concerning the pro-
posed right-of-way of the Cross Big pine Key Arterial Access
Road: Ed Swift, Bill Becker, Helen Ed, Marion Flemming,
Fran Wickman, Les Field, Catherine Thiede, Ethel Lunz,
Deborah Holle, Lottie White, A. J. Tuttle, Grace Mannillo,
Sue McFarland, L. B. Pokorski, Marie Landry, Ann Williams,
John Scharch, Julie Hovis, Al Damron, Sandra Barrett, Stuart
Cottrell, Joe Ross, Fred Brewer, Mark Sweeting, Robert Roe,
Glen Goff.
After discussion by the Board regarding the com-
ments received, motion was made by Commissioner Lytton and
seconded by Commissioner Puto to adopt the following
Resolution directing the Clerk of the Court of Monroe County
to file a right-of-way map for an access road to be located
on Big Pine Key.

reference.
Motion was made by Commissioner Lytton and seconded
by Commissioner Puto to adopt the following Resolution
authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of Monroe County, to enter
into a Local Government Cooperative Assistance Program -
Joint Participation Agreement with the State Department of
Transportation and also providing for certain environmental
studies and mitigation plans.

Motion was made by Commissioner Puto and seconded
by Commissioner Lytton to adjourn. Motion carried unani-
mously.
