Board of County Commissioners

A special meeting,!of the Board of County
Commissioners convened on t;he above date for the purpose of
conducting a Public Hearings on proposed Land Use Scenarios.
Present and answering to roAl call were Commissioner Alison
Fahrer, Commissioner Ed Swilft and Mayor Ken Sorensen.
Absent from the meeting were Commissioners Harvey and
Hernandez. Also present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk;
Lucien Proby, County Attorney; Kermit Lewin, County
Administrator; members of Oe County's Consulting Engineers
Firm; members of the Press,and Radio.; and the general
public.
All stood for the ;Invocation and Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag.
Mayor Sorensen discussed the Plan and rules of pro-
cedure to be followed for the several Public Hearings called
for the purpose of receiving public input into the proposed
Land Use Scenarios.
During discussioniand following the presentation of
a list to obtain the names',o.f individuals who wished to
address the subject, motion was made by Commissioner Swift to
close the list and limit the speaking time to a maximum of
five minutes. During discussion, Mayor Sorensen ruled that
he would monitor the speaking time from the Chair and would
require a unanimous vote of the Commission to authorize any
speaker to exceed five minutes.
Prior to public input, Mr. Charles Siemon and Mr.
Lane Kendig of the County''§ Consulting Firm addressed the
Board concerning the progress of the planning effort up to
the point of the Public Hearings.
The following individuals addressed the Board!con-
cerning the proposed Land Use Scenarios: Jim Cote, Captain
Ed Davidson, Judy Moeller,;William S. Frown, Grace Kendall,
Michael Barr, Randy Pope, Al Berlte, V. C. Reddy, Charles J.
Woods, Charles Kirk, FranO Froehling, Tom Fouts, Betty
Bullock, Bradley Knox, Pam�Martin, Ed, Kloski, George H.
DeCarion, Bob Sosly.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
