A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MONROE
COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY TO pREPARE
ADMINISTER AND IMPLEMENT HOME CESSPIT
ELIMINATION AND SEPTIC SYSTEM
REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROGRAM
APPLICATIONS ON BEHALF OF BOTH THE
MONROE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY AND
MONROE COUNTY AS SEPARATE APPLICANTS
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE
COUNTY AND/OR COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO
SIGN THE COUNTIES APPLICATION, LETTERS OF
SUPPORT, LOCAL GOVE~NT
CONTRIBUTIONS LETTERS, MATCH FUND
LETTERS AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS THAT
MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE SUBMISSION OF
BOTH APPLICATIONS.
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners has
approved Monroe County Housing Authority Plan 2000 which included Cesspit
Replacement activities for existing homes; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners has
approved interim funding of Plan 2000; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Housing Authority is presently preparing a
HOME Program application for a Cesspit Elimination and Septic System
Replacement or Repair program in conjunction with County stPff and JYan ~:900;

WHEREAS, certain County residents applications for participation in the
program will not contain all the information necessary for inclusion in a competitive
application to maximize scoring; and
WHEREAS, the HOME, appiu;ation requires executed documents by the
Mayor of the County and/or Administrator to confirm Local Support, Local
Contribution, Matching Funds and other required documents.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY AS FOLLOWS:
1. Authorize the Monroe County Housing Authority to prepare, administer and
implement HOME Cesspit Elimination and Septic System Replacement or Repair
Program on behalf of the County to insure the maximum opportunity for funding on
behalf of eligible County residents.
2. Authorize the Mayor of the County and/or County Administrator to sign the
County Application and Letters of Support, Local Government Contribution Letters,
Match Fund Letters and all other documents that may be requires for the submittal
of both applications.
PASSED and ADOPTED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe
Count)', Florida at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 18th day of
Decemb~rA.D., 1996.
