RESOLUTION NO. 606 -1996
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND MONROE COUNTY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING
THE KEY LARGO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO ENTER INTO A HIGHWAY
BEAUTIFICATION GRANT MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORATATION.
WHEREAS, many roadside areas and median strips abutting Department of Transportation right-of-
way must be maintained and attractively landscaped; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission desire that the unincorporated area of Key Largo beautify
and improve various right-of-way within Key Largo by landscaping; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commission of Monroe County wish to authorize the Key Largo
Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee to enter into a Highway Beautification
Grant Memorandum of Agreement between the Economic Development Committee and the Florida
Department of Transportation; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
The Mayor and Monroe County Commission hereby authorize the Key Largo
Section 1.
Economic Development Committee to enter into a Highway Beautification Grant Memorandum of
Agreement between the Economic Development Committee and the Florida Department of
Transportation.
Section 2.
The County Clerk of the Monroe County Commission is hereby directed to send
copies of this Resolution to the Department of Transportation and all other persons as directed by the
Mayor and Monroe County Commission.
