10/23/1981Regular 208 W "\ - I * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Special Meeting Board of County Commissioners Friday, October 23, 1981 11:00 A.M., Key West A special meeting of the Board of County Commissioner convened on the above date. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Curt Blair, Commissioner Wilhelmina Harvey, Commissioner Jerry Hernandez, Jr., and Chairman George Dolezal. Commissioner Ken Sorensen was absent. Also present were Ralph White, Clerk; Nelson Reed, Assistant County Attorney; Kermit Lewin, County Administrator; members of the Press and Radio; and general public. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the untimel bids received regarding the installation of the translator television towers in Monroe County. After discussion by the Board Members and legal staff a motion was made by Commissioner Hernandez and seconded by Commissioner Blair to reject the bid received indicating to w 2n9 , the bidder that it was not timely received and to return same. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Commissioner Blair and seconded by Chairman Dolezal authorizing the re-advertisement of bids for the installation of television towers for the translator system under the same terms and conditions that it was previously advertised. Motion carried unanimously. There was additional discussion regarding the possibi lity of obtaining more than one (1) bid on this project. The County Attorney's Office was instructed to take specific action regarding those inquiries. There being no further business before the Board the meeting was adjourned.
