A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ABANDONMENT OF A
PORTION OF DOLPHIN AVENUE, DRIFTWOOD ESTATES, FAT DEER
KEY. MONROE COUNTY. FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, desires to
renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the hereinafter described
streets, alley-ways, roads or highways, and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, it is necessary to hold a public hearing
after publishing due notice of said hearing in accordance with said Chapter, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF

to the following described streets, alley-ways, roads or highways as delineated on the lmrein~r

described map or plat, to-wit:
A portion of "Dolphin Avenue," lying Northerly of Lots 8 through 14 of
"Driftwood Estates," as recorded in the Public Records, in Plat Book 2, Page 132,
in Section 4-66-33, Fat Deer Key, Monroe County, Florida; and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Section 4, bear East along the North
line of said section, and along the North right-of-way line of said "Dolphin
Avenue," for a distance of 700.13 feet, to an iron pipe, cap number 4906, at the
point of intersection of said section line with the Northerly projection of the
Westerly line of said Lot 8, said point to be known as the point of the beginning of
the portion of said "Dolphin Avenue" hereinafter described; thence bear East along
said North right-of-way line of said "Dolphin Avenue", for a distance of700.00
feet, to an iron rod, cap number LB2863, at the Easterly terminus of said right of
way of said "Dolphin Avenue;" thence bear South, along the Easterly terminus of
said right of way of said "Dolphin Avenue," for a distance of 50.00 feet, to an iron
pipe, cap number 4906; thence bear West, along the South right-of-way line of
said "Dolphin Avenue," for a distance of 700.00 feet, to an iron pipe, in a water
meter box, at the Northwest comer of said Lot 8; thence bear North, along the
Northerly projection of said West line of said Lot 8, for a distance of 50.00 feet,
back to the Point of Beginning. Containing an area of 35,000:!: square feet.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on the 19th day of January, 1995.
