A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
AUTHORIZING THE DIVISION OF GROWTH MANAGEMENT TO PROVIDE
ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF KEY COLONY BEACH DURING THE REVISION OF
THEIR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Key Colony Beach (City) is currently undergoing limited revisions to their
comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested technical assistance from the County concerning proposed revisions to
their comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, it is the County's desire to assist and to work cooperatively with the City.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA THAT:
The Division of Growth Management is authorized to provide limited technical assistance to the City of
Key Colony Beach as requested by the City. The Director of Growth Management shall determine the extent and
character of such assistance based on the specific requests mad by the City and by the limitations of current County
staff time obligations,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Baord of County Commissioners, Monroe County, Florida at a regular
meeting of said Board held on the 17th day of May, A,D" 1995.

Dear Messrs. and Madam:
Please be advised that at regular meetings in fonnal session on May 17
and August 15, 1995, the Board of County Commissions of Monroe County adopted
Resolution No. 196-1995 expressing concern regarding, and identifying the impacts
associated with, the widening of U.S. Highway One between Key Largo and Mainland
Florida, and requesting pennitting agencies to condition their permits upon measures to
mitigate or eliminate those impacts; and Resolution No. 295-1995 requesting the State of
Florida, Department of Transportation (DOT) to design and analyze expansion of U.S.
Highway One between Key Largo and Mainland Florida limited to three (3) lanes and to
review traffic management options utilizing the existing two (2) lanes as proposed in the
Florida Bay Initiative study.
Enclosed please find certified copies of the above Resolutions for your
consideration.
