Special Meeting/Public Hearing
Board of County Commissioners
Wednesday, April 10, 1985
Key West
A special meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners convened on the above date. Present and
answering to roll call were Commissioner Alison Fahrer,
Commissioner William Freeman, Commissioner John Stormont,
Commissioner Ed Swift, and Mayor Wilhelmina Harvey. Also
present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Kermit Lewin, County
Administrator; Susan Vernon, Assistant County Attorney; mem-
bers of the Press and Radio; and the general public.
All stood for the Invocation and Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag.
Mayor Harvey advised the audience that this meeting
was being held in order to hear the feelings of the public
with regard to the proposed Land Use Plan.
Charles Siemon discussed the proposed schedule.
Motion was made by Commissioner Swift and seconded by
Commissioner Freeman to conduct a Public Hearing at 9:00
a.m. on April 18, 1985 at the Key Colony Beach City Hall.
Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Commissioner
Fahrer and seconded by Commissioner Swift to conduct Public
Workshops, per the schedule, on April 29th in Key West,
April 30th in Plantation, and May 1st in Marathon. Motion
carried unanimously.

Each Commissioner then spoke briefly to the
audience.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
