07/26/1987 SpecialDD 112 Special Meeting Board of County Commissioners Friday, July 26, 1985 Marathon A Special Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners convened on the above date at George Dolezal/Monroe County Library in Marathon. Present and answering to roll call were Commissioner Alison Fahrer, Commissioner William Freeman, Commissioner John Stormont, and Mayor Wilhelmina Harvey. Also present were Danny L. Kolhage, Clerk; Kermit Lewin, County Administrator; Calvin Allen, Assistant County Attorney; James Matthews, Finance Director; Charles Aguero, MSD Manager; Billy Wagner, Civil Defense Director; Peter Webber; County staff; members of the Press and Radio; and the general public. Commissioner Fahrer discussed her third quarterly review of the budgets and salary increases, policies and concepts with the Board. The Clerk then presented the Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 1985-86. During discussion, Mayor Harvey called for a Special Meeting on August 1, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Conference Room at 310 Fleming Street in Key West for the purpose of discussing the Sheriff's Budget. Alice Skinger and Glen Robinson addressed the Board con- cerning the Budget. Further consideration of the Budget was continued to the scheduled Workshops and Special Meetings. Motion was made by Commissioner Stormont and seconded by Commissioner Fahrer to read by title only a Resolution redeeming the remaining outstanding certificates of indebtedness of 1965 issued and sold pursuant to Resolution No. 66-1965 and providing for notice by publica- tion. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Commissioner Stormont and seconded by Commissioner Freeman to adopt the Resolution. Motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 226-1985 See Res. Book No. 45 which is incorporated herein by reference. Motion was made by Commissioner Freeman and seconded by Commissioner Fahrer to approve the Errors and Insolvency List for the 1984 Tax Roll. Motion carried una- nimously. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
