laws of the District of Columbia, authorized to transact business in the State of Florida as The
Nature Conservancy, Inc., and having its principal place of business at 222 South Westmonte
Drive, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714, hereinafter called the Grantor, to BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUND OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA with an
address c/o Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of State Lands, 3900
Commonwealth Boulevard, Mail Station 115, Tallahassee, FL 32399-3000, hereinafter called the
Grantee:
WITNESSETH
THAT the Grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) and
other valuable considerations, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, by these presents does
hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto the said Grantee forever, all the right, title, interest, claim
and demand which the said Grantor has in and to all the oil, gas and other minerals that may be
produced for that certain land situate in Monroe County, Florida, viz as described in Exhibt "A"
attached hereto:
SUBJECT, NEVERTHELESS, TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Taxes for the year 2000 and all subsequent years;
2. Zoning ordinances of Monroe County, Florida;
3. All prior grants of oil, gas, and mineral rights;
4. Any easements of ingress or egress for utility purposes;
5. Conditions, restrictions, and limitation of record.
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that notwithstanding this conveyance of the mineral estate herein
described, Grantee agrees for itself, its successors and assigns that it shall not contract, prospect
for, drill or enter or disturb the surface of said property for purposes of removing any minerals, the
same being expressly prohibited.
Parcel identification numbers attached hereto as Exhibit "A-I" and by
reference made a part hereof.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same together with all and singular the appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and all the estate, right, title, interest. lien, equity
and claim whatsoever of the said Grantor, either in law or equity, to the only property use, benefit
and behoof of the said Grantee.
