ORDINANCE NO. 001-1986
AN ORDINANCE OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 013-1984 BY THE
ADDITION OF THREE (3) NEW SECTIONS TO BE
NUMBERED SECTION 6, SECTION 7 AND SECTION 8,
AND ENTITLED "DETERMINATION AND ITEMIZATION
OF AUDITED DEBT", "DIRECTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF
AUDITED DEBT", AND DISBURSEMENT OF EXCESS OF
AUDITED DEBT AMOUNT"; PROVIDING FOR SEVER-
ABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
WITH THIS ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. Monroe County Ordinance No. 013-1984 is hereby
amended by the addition of three (3) new sections to read as
follows:
"SECTION 6. DETERMINATION AND ITEMIZATION OF
AUDITED DEBT.
The audited debt as of June 30, 1983, referenced
in Section 5 above, was reported in the certified audit
of Mariners Hospital prepared by Alexander Grant &
Company, Certified Public Accountants, as One Million
Three Hundred Seventy Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty
S~x and 00/100 Dollars ($1,379,866.00), which is
comprised of those creditors itemized in Schedule "A"
attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein.
Under penalty of perjury, Keys Hospital Foundation,
Inc. d/b/ a Mariners Hospital verifies that the
creditors listed in Schedule II A" represented the
audited debt as of June 30, 1983.
SECTION 7. DIRECTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF AUDITED
DEBT.
The Clerk of the Monroe County Commission, being
the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Sixteenth Judicial
Circuit, in and for Monroe County, Florida, is directed
to pay taxes received from the Special Taxing District
created herein up to and including the sum of One
Million Three Hundred Seventy Nine Thousand Eight
Hundred Sixty Six and 00/100 Dollars ($1,379,866.00) to
Keys Hospital Foundation, Inc. , d/b/a Mariners
Hospital, directly, as collected from time to time and
year to year during the term of the special taxing
district. Keys Hospi tal Foundation, Inc. d/b / a
Mariners Hospital shall at all times maintain a clear
financial audit trail to provide full accountability of
funds received as set forth herein.
SECTION 8. DISBURSEMENT OF EXCESS OF AUDITED DEBT
AMOUNT.
The Clerk of the Monroe County Commission, being
the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Sixteenth Judicial
Circuit, in and for Monroe County, Florida, is directed
to retain any taxes received in this taxing district in
excess of One Million Three Hundred Seventy Nine
Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Six and 00/100 Dollars
($1,379,866.00), and to only pay and disburse such
excess amounts for capital expenditures at the
direction of the Monroe County Board of Commissioners
sitting as the Mariners Hospital Special Taxing
District Board. Keys Hospital Foundation, Inc. d/b/a
Mariners Hospital shall initiate such payments by
submitting a verified payment request or voucher for
capital expenditures to the Clerk."
Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of
this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
any such conflict.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary
of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been
filed with said Office.

CONSIDER ADOPTION OF COUNTY ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN that on
Friday, January 24, 1986 at 3:00 P.M. at the Marathon Sub-Court-
house, Marathon, Monroe County, Florida, the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, intends to consider the
adoption of the following County Ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO.

AN ORDINANCE OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 013-1984 BY THE
ADDITION OF THREE (3) NEW SECTIONS TO BE
NUMBERED SECTION 6, SECTION 7 AND SECTION 8,
AND ENTITLED "DETERMINATION AND ITEMIZATION
OF AUDITED DEBT", "DIRECTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF
AUDITED DEBT", AND DISBURSEMENT OF EXCESS OF
AUDITED DEBT AMOUNT"; PROVIDING FOR SEVER-
ABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
WITH THIS ORDINANCES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, notice is
given that if a person decided to appeal any decision made by the
Board with respect to any matter considered at such hearings or
meetings, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for
such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
