Ordinance 002-1986 County Commission ORDINANCE NO. 002-1986 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF $3,600 TO ROBERT DUFFY, ESQUIRE FOR SERVICES RENDERED TO THE CAREER SERVICE COUNCIL DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1984-1985; STATING THE TYPE OF SERVICES RENDERED TO THE CAREER SERVICE COUNCIL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SAID CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Robert Duffy, Esquire, rendered services to the Career Service Council of Monroe County in proceedings before said Council concerning the career status of Joseph Bizjak and Lynn Trepas, and that for said services it has been recommended by the County Administrator that the sum of $3,600 be paid to the aforesaid Robert Duffy in full and complete satisfaction of those services, and WHEREAS, since said services were requested and were afford- ed to the Career Service Council, the same should be paid as hereinabove stated, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That the sum of $3,600 be paid to Robert Duffy, Esquire, for services rendered to the Career Service Council in the proceedings conducted by them concerning the status of Joseph Bizjak and Lynn Trepas, such services rendered during the fiscal year 1984-1985. Section 2. Said sum is to be paid from the Contingency Fund set up in the budget for 1985-1986 expenses. Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon receipt of official notice from the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Florida that this Ordinance has been filed with said Office.
