A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA WELCOMING THE ASSISTANCE OF THE COALITION FOR
THE PRESERVATION OF AFFORDABLE LIVING STANDARDS IN THE FLORIDA
KEYS IN OBTAINING STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDING FOR THE KEY LARGO
CENTRAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES AND RELATED
INFRASTRUCTURE AND INVITING PARTICIPATION BY ALL INTERESTED
PERSONS AND GROUPS 0
WHEREAS, the constNction of the Key Largo wastewater treatment facilities and
related infrastNcture will help to prevent pollution and protect the natural resources that
support Key Largo's economy; and
WHEREAS, the constNction of central wastewater treatment facilities and related
infrastructure, however necessary, is also an economic burden on the businesses and
residents of Key Largo; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners gratefully acknowledges
and welcomes the efforts of the Coalition for the Preservation of Affordable Living Standards in
the Florida Keys to obtain federal and state financial assistance for the constNction and operation
of central wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastNcture for Key Largo.
Section 20 The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners urges all residents,
businesses and organizations interested in clean water and the financial well- being of the Key Largo
community to join in this collective effort to secure wastewater funding.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida,
at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 21st day of September, 2000. ~ 0 g ."
