Hanc c Deputy Clerk At the April 21, 2004, Board of County Commissioner's meeting the Board granted approval and authorized execution of a Renewal Agreement between Monroe County and Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., for the testing, certification and maintenance of the Monroe County Detention Center's fire alarm system, building automation system, and smoke control system; the Sheriffs Administration Building's fire alarm system and building automation system; the Juvenile Justice Center's fire alarm and building automation system; and the Courthouse Annex's fire alarm system. Enclosed is a duplicate original of the above -mentioned for your handling. TIllS RENEWAL AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 21 st day of April, 2004, between the COUNTY OF MONROE and SIEMENS BUILDING TECHNOLOGIES, INC. fJkJa/ Landis & Staefa, Inc. in order to renew the original agreement between the parties dated June 18, 2003 (a copy of which is incorporated hereto by reference); as follows: 1. In accordance with Section 3.10 of the original Agreement dated June 18, 2003, the County exercises its first of three options to renew the Agreement for an additional one- year period. 2. Payment by the County to Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. for the services provided increases by 1.7%, from $23,982.00 to $24,390.00 quarterly, and from $95,928.00 to $97,560.00 per year. Increase reflects the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers for the most recent twelve months available. 3. The term of the renewed agreement shall commence on June 1, 2004, and shall terminate on May 31, 2005. 4. In all other respects, the original agreement dated June 18,2003 remains in full force and a 0 effect. er.: - ci o .. Please be advised that we are willing to accept renewal of this contract (which would otherwise expire on May 31, 2004). However, according to the terms of the contract, we request an adjustment of the annual contract amount according to changes in the Consumer Price Index during the past twelve months. Because a quarterly billing schedule is being used, we request that the inflation-adjusted annual amount be rounded down to the nearest amount that is divisible by four in whole dollars.
