A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE REQUEST OF JOHN
s. ELY TO AMEND THE RECORDED PLAT OF COCO
PLUM BEACH SUBDIVISION, (SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP
66 SOUTH, RANGE 33 EAST, FAT DEER KEY,
TALLAHASSEE MERIDIAN, MARATHON, MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA) TO INCLUDE LOTS lA, 1B, 2A,
2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, BLOCK 20, COCO PLUM BEACH
SUBDIVISION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
SIGN THE AMENDED PLAT.

WHEREAS, John S. Ely 1S the owner of real property legally
described as Lots 1-4, Block 20, Coco Plum Beach Subdivision, and
having Real Estate numbers 366030, 366040, 366050 and 366060, and
being located in the Suburban Residential (SR), Land Use Ditrict;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ely submitted an application requesting that the
plat of Coco Plum Beach Subdivision be amended to change Lots
1-4, Block 20, into Lots lA, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, Block
20, Coco Plum Beach Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Development Review Committee, dur-
ing a regular session held on December 18, 1991, reviewed the
request of John S. Ely to amend the plat of Coco Plum Beach Subdi-
vision; and
WHEREAS, the Development Review Committee found that the
proposed amendment to the plat of Coco Plum Beach Subdivision
conforms to the substantive and procedural requirements for Plat

approval under the Monroe County Code and that with the transfer
of 4.37 Development Rights to the subject property, the proposed
amendment complies with the density requirements of Section
9.5-262, Monroe County Code; and
WHEREAS, based on the finding of fact, the Development Review
Committee recommends that the Board of County Commissioners ap-
prove the request to amend the plat and authorize the Mayor to
sign the ammended plat; and
WHEREAS, no person has appealed the proposed Plat to this
Board, and no member of this Board desires to remove the proposal
from the Consent Agenda; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. That the Board adopts the Findings of Fact of
the Development Review Committee as its own.
Section 2. The request to amend the Plat of Coco Plum Beach
Subdivision to include Lots lA, lB, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B,
Block 20, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Mayor is herby authorized to sign the
approved Plat.
Section 4. The Clerk of the Court is hereby directed
to file a certified copy of this Resolution and the executed
amended plat in the Official Records of Monroe County,
Florida.
Section 5. The Clerk of the Court 1S hereby directed to
forward two (2) certified copies of this Resolution and two

(2) certified copies of said amended plat, when recorded, to
the Monroe County Planning Department.
Section 6. The Monroe County Division of Growth Management
is directed to forward one (1) certified copy of this Resolu-
tion and one (1) certified copy of said amended plat of Coco
Plum Beach Subdivision, when recorded, to the Department of
Community Affairs.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on
the 20th day of December, A.D. 1995.
