A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, desires
to renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to the
hereinafter described streets, alley-ways, roads or highways, and
WHEREAS, due notice has been published and a public hearing has been held in
accordance with Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Board considered the argument of all parties
present wishing to speak on the matter, and all premises considered concerning the
renouncing and disclaiming of any right of the County and the public in and to the
hereinafter described streets, alley-ways, roads or highways as delineated on the
hereinafter described map or plat. and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that vacation of the said road is for the
general public welfare, and conforms to the requirement of Florida Statutes Sec. 336.09
and Sec. 336.10, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA that the Board hereby renounces and disclaims any right of the
County and the public in and to the following described streets, alley-ways, roads or
highways as delineated on the hereinafter described map or plat, to-wit:
A portion of the East 20 feet of Government Lot 3, Section 33,
Township 66 South, Range 29 East. as Recorded in Deed Book G-50 at
page 116 of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida and a portion
of the West 20 feet of Government Lot 2, Section 33, Township 66 South,
Range 29 East as Recorded in Official Record Book 1347, at page 367 of
the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, all located on Little Torch
Key, Monroe County, Florida and being more particularly described as
follows:
Commence at the Northwest corner of said Government Lot 2,
Section 33, Township 66 South, Range 29 East. thence S 00001'49" W for
495.00 feet to the Point of Beginning of a 40 foot wide road
abandonment; thence N 89058' 11" W for 20.00 feet; thence S 00001' 49"
W along a line 20 feet West of and parallel to the East Line of the said
Government Lot 3 for 1690.00 feet, more or less to the Approximate Mean
High Water line of Newfound Harbor; thence S. 89058' 11" E along the said
Mean High Water Line of Newfound Harbor for 40.00 feet; thence N
00001 '49" E along a line 20 feet East of and Parallel to the said West line
of Government Lot 2 for 1690.00 feet, more or less; thence N 89058' 11" W
for 20.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 67,600 Square Feet,
more or less, or 1.552 Acres, more or less.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board on the 20th day of December, 1995.
