RESOLUTION NO. 206-1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZ-
ING AND RATIFYING ALL ACTIONS TAKEN BY HANK
NAUBEREIT AND THE FIRM OF ROSENMAN AND COLIN
ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY IN OPPOSITION TO
LLOYD MORIBER'S PENDING LICENSE RENEWAL
APPLICATION FOR CHANNEL 56 LPTV STATION.
WHEREAS, Monroe County has a vested interest in the
protection of its Television Translators, and
WHEREAS, there is currently pending before the Federal
Communications Commission a petition filed on behalf of Monroe
County to deny Lloyd Moriber's license renewal application for
Channel 56, being file number BRTTL880926IF, and
WHEREAS, Hank Naubereit has served as the County's technical
advisor in connection with the translator system and has
undertaken on behalf of Monroe County to oppose the afore-men-
tioned license renewal application, and
WHEREAS, the authority of Hank Naubereit has been recently
questioned by individuals representing Lloyd Moriber, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board does hereby fully
authorize and ratify all actions taken by Hank Naubereit and the
firm of Rosenman and Colin on behalf of the County in opposition
to Lloyd Moriber's pending license renewal application for
Channel 56 LPTV Station, and does hereby fully confirm all
actions taken by the said Hank Naubereit and Rosenman and Colin
in connection therewith and does further fully authorize them to
take any and all actions on behalf of Monroe County which, in
their judgment, is in the County's best interest in connection
with these proceedings.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a special meeting of said Board held
on the lIth day of April, 1989.
