A RESOLUTION :orr THE BOARD OF COUNTY CO~lIS-
SIONERS O#I~OE:lIOOUNT1{i, FLORIDA, CONCERNING
RECOGNITION OF PERSONS OR ORGANIZATIONS WHO
DONATE RESOURCES FOR THE RESTORATION OF
PIGEON KEY.
WHEREAS, Pigeon Key is currently under lease to the Pigeon
Key Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the Pigeon Key Foundation is in the process of
restoring Pigeon Key and renovating the historic bllildings
thereon; and
WHEREAS, various persons and organizations donate resources
for the continuing rehabilitation of Pigeon Key; and
WHEREAS, the Pigeon Key FOllndation at times agrees to
provide recognition of such donations with appropriate plaques
and other displays, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to
continue these recognitions in such case that the Pigeon Key
Foundation should fail to continue to be the lessee of Pigeon
Key; now, therefore,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Monroe County and
any subsequent Lessee will continue to display any plaques and
other forms of recognition the Pigeon Key Foundation agreed to
display in return for a donation for the restoration of a
historic building if for any reason the Pigeon Key Foundation
does not continue as the lessee of Pigeon Key.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on
the 20th day of
