RESOLUTION NO. 263-A -1989
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT TO ADOPT
AND EXTEND THE ONE THROUGH SIX CENT OPTIONAL
GAS TAX AND DISTRIBUTE THE PROCEEDS THEREOF
TO THE VARIOUS MUNICIPALITIES ACCORDING TO
THE METHOD IN F.S. 336.025(4)(a) UNLESS AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING A FORMULA
WITH THE CITY OF KEY WEST IS AGREED TO BEFORE
JUNE 1, 1989.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
If an interlocal agreement is not entered into with the City
of Key West providing for the distribution of the one through six
cent optional gas tax between the City and the County, the County
Commission hereby declares its intent to levy the one through six
cent optional gas tax and distribute the proceeds according to
the method contained in F.S. 336.025(4)(a).
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 23rd day of May, A.D., 1989.
