A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR/CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BY
AND BETWEEN JOHN E. CARTER AND LEONDRE L.
CARTER AND MONROE COUNTY CONCERNING THE
LEASE OF TEN ACRES IN SECTION 09, TOWNSHIP
60 SOUTH, RANGE 40 EAST.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to execute
a Lease Agreement by and between John E. Carter and Leondre L. Carter and Monroe
County concerning the Lease of Ten Acres in Section 09, Township 60 South, Range
40 East, a copy of same being attached hereto.

LEASE
Lease, dated this 23rd day of May, 1989, by John E. Carter and
Leondre L. Carter of Monroe County, Florida, as lessors,

AND
the Board of County Commissioners acting as the Board of
Governors of the Municipal Service District of Monroe County, a
political subdivision of the State of Florida, as lessee
IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual covenants contained herein lessors
lease to lessee the following property:
the east half of the southeast quarter of the
southeast quarter (E/2 SE/4 SE/4) of section
9, township 60 south, range 40 east,
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD for the term of one year from the 15th day of
June, 1988, subject to the following:
1. Lessee shall pay to lessors the sum of eight hundred (800)
dollars per month in arrears on or before the 15th day of
every month.
2. The first payment is due on the signing of this lease by
lessee and shall be in the amount of eight thousand (8,000)
dollars representing payment for the period from 15 June
1988 to 15 April 1989.
3. Lessee shall use the premises for the temporary storage of
abandoned vehicles and for no other purpose.
4. Lessee shall not assign this lease or sublet any part of the
premises without lessors' written consent.
5. Lessee shall maintain the premises in a sanitary and orderly
condition and shall comply with all applicable laws of the
State of Florida.
6. Lessee shall hold lessor harmless from all suits, claims, or
causes of action that may arise from third parties using the
premises and shall protect lessor against actions brought by
third parties for injuries or damage suffered by them while
in, around, or upon the premises.
7. Either party may cancel this lease by giving a 60-day-
written notice.
