Knight, Tax Collector 'S9 OCI 1SJ P 2 :'18 RESOLUTION NO. 56] -1989 A RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE PROPERTY APPRAISER NOT TO MAKE AN EXTENSION ON THE TAX ROLL FOR ANY PARCEL MON FOR WHICH THE TAX WOULD AMOUNT TO LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS AND DIRECTING AND PERMITTING THE TAX COLLECTOR TO REFRAIN FROM BILLING ANY TAXPAYER WHOSE BILL IS FIVE DOLLARS OR LESS FOR THE ENSUING TAX YEAR. WHEREAS, a number of individuals and entities will have tax bills of Five Dollars or less, and WHEREAS, the cost of printing and mailing, as well as giving official notice and publication, will render the sending of such bills completely uneconomical, and WHEREAS, the Tax Collector has requested the County Commission of Monroe County, Florida, to obviate the necessity of mailing such bills of Five Dollars or less for the next ensuing year, now, therefore, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. The Property Appraiser is hereby instructed not to make an extension on the tax roll for any parcel for which the tax would amount to less than Five Dollars. 2. The Tax Collector shall not send bills of Five Dollars or less to any taxpayer for the upcoming tax year; it being determined by the County Commission that such billing is uneconomical and the cost of such would be in excess of the sum billed, if collected.
