RESOLUTION NO. 714 -1989 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE THIRD PARAGRAPH OF PAGE 1 OF RESOLUTION NO'; 608-1989 CONCERNING A PETITION TO THE 19"i9 FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO AUTHORIZE COUNTIES TO ADOPT THE VOTED GAS TAX BY M4~ORITY PLUS ONE VOTE OF THE SEVERAL LOCAL ,.Q($ERNING BODIES; DIRECTING THE CLERK TO '~'iFQiWARD COPIES HEREOF TO THE MONROE COUNTY oL~ISLATIVE DELEGATION, THE SENATE PRESIDENT, THE HOUSE SPEAKER AND THE GOVERNOR. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously adopted Resolution No. 608-1989 on November 1, 1989, and WHEREAS, due to scriveners errors in said Resolution, the Board hereby desires to amend and correct the third paragraph on Page 1 of said Resolution No. 608-1989, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLOIRDA, as follows: Section 1. The third paragraph on Page 1 of Resolution No. 608-1989 is hereby amended to read as follows: "WHEREAS, the pre-design statement of total probable costs, in 1989 dollars, to implement said recommended seven year roadway work program totals some $12.2 million dollars and presently anticipated combined revenues from the Constitutional Gas Tax, the County Gas Tax and the Local Option Gas Tax, as defined by ~206.41, ~206.60 and ~336.025, Florida Statutes, respectively, in terms of the portions thereof not already otherwise committed for normal Departmental operations and routine minor maintenance projects, only total some $10.15 million dollars, leaving a deficit of $2.05 million dollars in unidentified revenues for roadway construction/reconstruction projects only that will be required to implement, in 1989 dollars, the said roadway work program, and" 2. The Clerk to the Board is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Monroe County Legislative Delegation, the President of the Florida Senate, the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives and the Governor of the State of Florida. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on the ~JlL day of 4>/l!..Mber , A. D. 1989.
