RESOLUTION NO. 719- 1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR/CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF
FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF STATE, DIVISION OF
HISTORICAL RESOURCES, REGARDING THE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION GRANT AWARD FOR WEST MARTELLO TOWER
RESTORATION PROJECT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is hereby
authorized to execute an amendment to an agreement between Monroe
County and the Florida Department of
State,
Division
of
Historical Resources, regarding the Historic Preservation Grant
award for West Martello Tower restoration project, a copy of same
being attached hereto.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT
AMENDMENT NUMBER 1
THIS AMENDMENT to the Agreement dated August 18, 1988,
between the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of
Historical Resources, and the Monroe County Board of County
Commissioners, relative to the West Martello Tower Restoration
Project, shall be effective when properly executed by the parties
hereto and shall be made a part of the original Agreement.
~rnEREAS, the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners has
requested revision of the project scope of work as described in
the original Agreement, and
~ffiEREAS, the requested revision has been reviewed and found
to be in accordance with current regulations.
WITNESSETH, that said Agreement is hereby amended as
follows:
I. The project, as approved for grant assistance, shall consist
of the following authorized work:
A. Prepare a restoration plan for the West Martello Tower
complex.
B. Prepare a statement of probable restoration costs.
C. Prepare a schedule for restoration work.
D. Prepare a schematic site plan for the West Martello
Tower Complex.
All other terms and conditions of the August 18, 1988 Agree-
ment remain in full force and effect.
