Ed OF'.MPNROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING SENATOR
c::l L4RR~ PLUMMER, REPRESENTATIVE RON SAUNDERS, AND
M~R~ COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER ERVIN A. HIGGS TO
~ SUPPIRT LEGISLATION PROVIDING THAT THE MONROE
COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER PLACE A CAP OF 3% ON
ANNUAL INCREASES IN PROPERTY ASSESSMENTS IN MONROE
COUNTY.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1.
Senator Larry Plummer, Representative Ron
Saunders and Monroe County Property Appraiser Ervin A. Higgs, are
hereby requested to support legislation providing that the Monroe
County Property Appraiser place a cap of 3% on annual increases
in property assessments in Monroe County.
Section 2. The Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Senator Larry
Plummer, Representative Ron Saunders and Monroe County Property
Appraiser Ervin A. Higgs.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on
the 13th day of December, 1989.
