A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE
FOR A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING THE PROPOSED
ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF CATHERINE STREET,
A,PORTION OF INDUSTRIAL LANE AND A 10 X 130

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida, desires to renounce and disclaim any right of the County
and the public in and to the hereinafter described streets,
alley-ways, roads or highways, and
WHEREAS, under Chapter 336, Florida Statutes, it is neces-
sary to hold a public hearing after publishing due notice of said
hearing in accordance with said Chapter, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that at 3: 00 P.M., on Tuesday, January
23, 1990, at the Marathon Sub-Courthouse, Marathon, Monroe
County, Florida, said Board will hold a public hearing to deter-
mine whether or not said Board will renounce and disclaim any
right of the County and the public in and to the following
described streets, alley-ways, roads or highways:
PARCEL A:
A portion of Catherine Street, "MATECUMBE BEACH",
according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book
1, at Page 133, of the Public Records of Monroe County,
Florida, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGIN at the Southwest corner of Lot 8, Bl08k 4, of the
said plat of "HATECUMBE BEACH", thence N 45 E along the
Southeasterly lines of Lots 8 thru 14, Block 4, of the
said plat, and across Johnson Street for a total of
414.00 feet to the Northeasterly line of the said plat,
thence S 4SoE along the Northeasterly line of the said
plat and also the Northeasterly Right-of-Way line of
Catherine Street for 60.00 feet to the Southeasterly
line of the said plat; thence S 4SoW along the said
Southeasterly line of the said plat for 414.00 feet;
thence N 450W for 60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 24,840 Square Feet.
PARCEL B:
A portion of Catherine Street, "MATECUMBE BEACH",
according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book
1, at Page 133, of the Public Records of Monroe County,
Florida, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGIN at the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Blogk 3, of the
said plat of "MATECUMBE BEACH", thence N 45 E along the
Southeasterly lines of Lots 4 thru 6, Block 3, of the
said plat for 190.00 feet to the Southeast corner of
Lot 6, Block 3; thence S 450E along the Southwesterly
Right-of-Way line of Beach Road for 60.00 feet to the
Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 5 of the said plat;
thence S 450W along the Northwesterly lines of Lots 1
and 4, Block 5 for 190.00 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 4, Block 5; thence N 450W for 60.00 feet to the
Point of Beginning. Containing 11,400 Square Feet.
PARCEL C:
All of a ten foot alley, "MATECUMBE BEACH", according
to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 1, at
Page 133, of the Public Records of Monroe County,
Florida, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGIN at the Southeast corner of Lot 3, Blo8k 5, of the
said plat of "MATECUMBE BEACH", thence S 45 W along the
Southeasterly line of Lot 3, Block 5, of the said plat
for 130.00 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 3, Block
5; thence S 450E along Northeasterly line of Lot 4,
Block 5 for 10.00 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot
4, Block 5; thence N 450E along the Southeasterly line
of the said plat for 130.00 feet to the Southwesterly
Right-of-Way line of Beach Road; thence N 450W for
10.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing
1,300 Square Feet, more or less.
PARCEL D:
A portion of Industrial Lane (Note: original plat did
not name this road) "MATECUMBE BEACH", according to the
plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 1, at Page 133,
of the Public Records of Monroe County, Florida, and
being more particularly described as follows:
BEGIN at the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Blo8k 5, of the
said plat of 'MATECUMBE BEACH", thence S 45 W along the
Southeasterly line of the said plat for 25.00 feet So
the Southwest corner of the said plat; thence N 45 W
along the Southwesterly line of the said plat for
260.00 feet; thence N 440 36' 20" Wand continuing
along the said Southwesterl~ line of the said plat for
167.50 feet; thence N 45 E for 25.00 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 4, Block 3 of the said plat;
thence S 440 36' 20" E and along the Southwesterl~ line
of Lot 4, Block 3 for 167.50 feet; thence S 45 E and
along the Southwesterly Right-of-way Line of Catherine
Street and along the Southwesterly line of Lot 4, Block
5 for 260.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 10,687.50 Square Feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY SAID BOARD that the Clerk of said
Board be, and he is hereby authorized to publish notice of said
meeting in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 336, Florida
Statutes.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on
the 13th day of December, 1989.
