RESOLUTION NO. 014 -1986
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND KARL BECKMEYER, P.A. IN
CONNECTION WITH PART-TIME LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO
BE RENDERED TO MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and Chairman of the Board
of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, is hereby
authorized to execute an Agreement by and between the Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and Karl
Beckmeyer, P.A., a copy of same being attached hereto, in
connection with part-time legal assistance to be rendered to
Monroe County, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 10th day of January, A.D. 1986.

THIS AGREEMENT entered intb this day of
A.D. 1986, by and between the Board of County commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, party of the first part, and KARL BECK-
MEYER, P.A., attorney at law, party of the second part, whose
mailing address is 88539 Overseas Highway, Tavernier~ Florida
33070.
WIT N E SSE T H:
WHEREAS, the County Attorney's Office desires to employ Karl
Beckmeyer, P.A. in the Upper Keys commencing on January 1, 1986
and to continue through the fiscal year 1985-86, until September
30, 1986, for a period of nine (9) months, and
WHEREAS, the agreed compensation for said part-time attorney
for the County of Monroe, shall be at the rate of $11,250.00 for
,_ up to 150 hours, in said nine month period.
NOW THEREFORE
BE-IT/AGREED by the parties hereto as follows:
1. That the party of the second part will render part-time
legal assistance to Monroe County, commencing on January 1,
1986, based on this Contract for a term to conclude Sep~ember
30,1986.
2. That the terms and conditions of this Contract are as
follows:
Monroe County shall pay Karl Beckmeyer, P.A. the sum of
$11,250.00 for his services in said nine month period.
Said sum shall be paid.in equal monthly installments of
$1,250.00 beginning January 1, 1986, and continuing
monthly thereafter until paid in full. 'In exchange for
sqid payment, Karl Beckmeyer, P.A. will provide up to
150 hours of legal services.
3. That the work and services to be rendered by the
aforesaid party of the second part shall be at the direction of
the County Attorney and an accurate time sheet shall be kept by
the party of the second part concerning said representation and
activity.

4. That this Contract may be terminated at. anytime by
these parties based on mutual agreement to do so. If,
notification of termination is given, it shall be effective on
the 1st day. of the month following said notification.
