RESOLUTION NO. 125-1986
RESOLUTION UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE
ZONING BOARD OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
WITHOUT PREJUDICE, AND DENYING THE REQUEST OF
ROBERT A. KOPPEN AND HERBERT WATKINS TO
REVERSE THE DECISION OF THE ZONING BOARD OF
MONROE COUNTY FLORIDA, DENYING A CHANGE OF
ZONING ON PROPERTY ON BIG PINE KEY.
WHEREAS, on November 22, 1985, the Zoning Board of Monroe
County, Florida, denied a request for a change of zoning on the
following described property:
a parcel of land in the Southeast % of the Northeast %
of Section 27, Township 66 South, Range 29 East, Big
Pine Key, Monroe County, Florida. Land Surveyor No.
620, dated March 17, 1953, particularly described by
metes and bounds.
WHEREAS, Robert A. Koppen and Herbert Watkins have duly
appealed said decision to the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, sitting as the Board of Appeals, and the
Board having reviewed the transcript of the November 22, 1985
hearing, having considered the argument of all parties present
wishing to speak on the matter, and all premises considered, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, sitting as the BOARD OF APPEALS, as
follows:
1. That the November 22, 1985, decision of the Zoning Board
of Monroe County, Florida, denying a change of zoning for the
above-described property be, and the same is hereby upheld.
2. That said Robert A. Koppen and Herbert Watkins be, and
they are hereby denied a reversal of the decision of the Zoning
Board of Monroe County, Florida, denying their reques t for a
change of zoning on the above-described property.
3. That the Clerk is hereby directed to make available to
the Field Representative of the Department of Community Affairs a
certified copy of this resolution by certified mail to said Field
Representative, Post Office Box 990, Key West, Florida 33041,
return receipt requested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, sitting as the Board of Appeals, at a
regular meeting of said Board held on the 16thday of April, A.D.
1986.
