Resolution 149-1986 RESOLUTION NO. 149 -1986 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS AND THE VARIOUS STATE OF FLORIDA AGENCIES CONCERNED, INCLUDING THE FLORIDA LAND AND WATER ADJUDICATORY COM- MISSION, TO DELAY THE REQUIREMENTS OF ANY LAND USE PLAN AS CONCERNS THE PUBLIC ADEQUATE FACILITIES PROVISION THEREOF; TO PROVIDE THAT ANY LAND USE PLAN FINALLY ADOPTED FOR MONROE COUNTY WILL DEFER AND DELAY THE REQUIREMENT OF THE PUBLIC FACILITIES PROVISION THEREOF; TO CONCUR WITH THE REQUIRING OF THE SAME FOR ALL OTHER COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. WHEREAS, the State Legislature has seen fit in passing legislation requiring all counties to eventually adopt land use plans, and WHEREAS, the legislation makes such requirements also provides that at the time the land use plans are adopted by the various counties that a provision be contained therein which brings about the requirement of certain levels of public ser- vices, and WHEREAS, the other sixty-six (66) counties within the State of Florida will not be required for approximately eighteen (18) months to two (2) years to adopt land use plans providing for public services and utilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE COUNTY, as follows: 1. That the Department of Community Affairs, and all other agencies of the State so involved including the Florida Land and Water Adjudicatory Commission be requested to postpone and delay the requirement in the proposed Land Use Plan for Monroe County of any provision providing for public service facilities and utilities for at least eighteen (18) months or until such time as the same requirement for such services and utilities is made on the other sixty-six (66) counties within the State of Florida when their plan is adopted. 2. That copies of this Resolution, requesting the delay of the implementation of these public service and utility provision in any proposed Monroe County Land Use Plan be sent to the Department of Community Affairs, Florida Land and Water Adjudicatory Commission, and the delegation of Monroe County, the Honorable Larry Plummer and the Honorable Joseph Allen, Jr. and to the Secretary of the Florida Land Water Adjudicatory Commis- sion.
