Resolution 151-1994 Hayor Emeritus Wilhelmina Harvey RESOLUTION NO. 151 -1994 A RESOLUTION OF THE S IONERS OF MONROE RECOGNITION OF THE RAYMOND. BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN LATE PAULETTE "PAULIE" WHEREAS, on March 21, 1994, Mrs. Paulette "Paulie" Raymond, died at the untimely age of 44, and WHEREAS, Paulie, who lived most of her life in Key West, was Z ""., \0 =~ well known for her volunteer work as a board ierri6-er ~or ~he :;:oc~ ::3: 0 Salvation Army, as an active volunteer for Helpffn~, ~ a'.S' a member of KWAMI, and r-- z~ - N -0 WHEREAS, Last year Paulie was doubly honored:hy Hel~in~as ....... -;-, ...... J::oo winner of the "Sunshine Award" which is given for'the most hours <J I--~ volunteered on the non-profit community "hotline" during daylight hours, and as winner of the Tate Brann Award for logging more than 400 hours of volunteer service during the year; and WHEREAS, In April she would have been honored at Helpline's Annual Dinner as "Volunteer of the Year" based on voting by her fellow volunteers since January, and WHEREAS, During Paulie's career she taught school and worked for Civil Service, the Key West Library, and Mel Fisher's museum. For the past seven years she worked for The Key West Citizen, where she was most recently an editor of the KeysLife section and had her own column in which she shared many of her own personal experiences, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board hereby adopts this Resolution in recognition of the late Pau1ie Raymond for all of her accomplishments and for all her contributions to this community.
