Resolution 152-1994 Mayor Emeritus Wilhelmina Harvey RESOLUTION NO. 152 -1994 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMJ:.lIS- SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN RECOGNITION OF THE LATE JAMES RUDDY. WHEREAS, Mr. James Ruddy, an advocate for the senior citizens of Monroe County, died on March 21, 1994, and WHEREAS, Mr. Ruddy, who retired to our community after serving as a pharmacist for many years, remained actively WHEREAS, Mr. Ruddy was of his fellow man, andz ._~ o ~:.:: president of the Ameri~n~ssociat~on -..... ""', ~" ~: 3i t~ OiJer -::j boo years, and T1 WHEREAS, Mr. Ruddy served as the president;:::' of Americans Advisory Board in Marathon for a number of was a member of the nominating committee for the Health and Human Services Board, and WHEREAS, Mr. Ruddy did on numerous occasions appear before the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County to speak on behalf of the senior citizens of Monroe County and to endeavor to advance their interests, and WHEREAS, Mr. Ruddy was most recently appointed by the County to the Career Service Board for Monroe County prior to his untimely demise, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board hereby adopts this Resolution in recognition of the late James Ruddy's many services to his community, his county and his fellow man during the period of his residency in Monroe County. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on the 21st day of April , 1994.
