RESOLUTION NO. 178-1994
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 306-1992
TO INCREASE THE USER FEES IMPOSED AT HARRY HARRIS PARK
ON ALL NON-COUNTY RESIDENTS AND/OR PROPERTY OWNERS FROM
$3.00 TO $5.00; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on June 10, 1992, the Board adopted Resolution No.
306-1992 regarding Harry Harris Park, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to amend said Resolution in order
to raise the entry fees to Harry Harris Park from $J..OQ~ to~5.a.D;

hereby amended to read as follows: = \.it-:;:J
"There is hereby established a user fee imp~ed at'1Iar~y
Harris Park of $3..99 $5.00 on all non-county residents and/or
property owners over the age of sixteen (16) years entering said
park by automobile, motorized or non-motorized vehicles, or on
foot, per day, per person. Persons under the age sixteen (16),
whether by automobile, motorized or non-motorized vehicle or on
foot, regardless of residency shall not be charged.
There is hereby established an additional user fee of $10.00
per trailer entering Harry Harris Park which conveys any boat,
vessel, personal watercraft or other waterborne vehicle in the
possession of any non-county resident and/or property owner.
Evidence of county residency and/or county property owner
shall be submission of Florida Driver's License, Monroe County
automobile license tag on vehicle, whether self-propelled or
towed, or proof by tax receipt for property taxes paid to Monroe
County. Substantiation of date of birth may additionally be
required from those entering Harry Harris Park on non-motorized
vehicles or on foot.
Such user fees shall be charged only each weekend day
(Saturday and Sunday) and on any weekday on which an officially
declared National, State of Local holiday falls.
The Board of County Commissioners hereby directs that such
user fee funds accumulated be placed in a special account whose
purpose is solely for those improvements delineated in Section 5
below which are unable to be funded under grant conditions that
prohibit grant implementation where user fees are collected.
Upon completion of such facilities improvements from such
special fund, if any, such user fees shall then be utilized to
offset Harry Harris Park normal operations and maintenance."
Section 2. All other provl.sl.ons of Resolution No.
306-1992 shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. The effective date of this Resolution is nunc
pro tunc to April 21, 1994.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of the Board held on
the 17th day of June , 1994.
