262 -1987
A RESOLUTION CREATING AN AD HOC COMMITTEE TO
REVIEW AND REPORT WITH RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE
MONROE COUNTY COMMISSION THEIR OBSERVATIONS
OF CODE ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES OF MONROE
COUNTY; DESIGNATING AND CONSTITUTING THE
COMMITTEE AND SETTING FORTH ITS DUTIES AND
PREROGATIVES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1.
That an ad hoc committee is hereby created
for the purpose of evaluating, observing, and reporting to the
Monroe County Commission their findings and recommendations with
regard to the code enforcement process in Monroe County.
Section 2.
That this ad hoc committee shall be divided
into three areas representing respectively:
1) The Upper Keys Plantation Key Government
Center and the area serviced thereby;
2) The Middle Keys Government Center in
Marathon and the area serviced thereby;
3) The Key West Public Service Building
and the area serviced thereby.
Section 3.
This committee shall consist of five members
for each area, said composition shall be as follows:
1) Five members from the Plantation Key and
Upper Keys area, said members to be
residents of the area;
2) Five members from the Middle Keys and
Marathon area, said members to be residents
of the area;
3) Five members from the Key West and Lower
Keys area, said member to be residents
of the area.
Section 4.
The Sheriff of Monroe County, the State
Attorney of Monroe County, the County Attorney of Monroe County,
and a Monroe County Court Judge shall be ex officio members of
all three committees and shall be entrusted with supervising and
facilitating the business and deliberation of each committee.
When recommendations are in order subsequent to the study herein
provided such recommendations shall be approved by the ex officio
members herein designated.
Section 5.
The membership of the various committees
shall be by appointment by the Monroe County Commission.
Section 6. That at the completion of the studies made by
this committee in the three areas of Monroe County, they shall
prepare a report along with their recommendations concerning the
code enforcement procedures in Monroe County and shall report
forthwith to the County Commission in relation thereto, at which
time these committees shall be disbanded.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 1~J.
