WHEREAS, Monroe County applied for major 'conditMnal
approval to construct two tennis courts at Watson Field and
basketball court at the Big pine Leisure Club; and
A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE APPLICATION FILED
BY MONROE COUNTY TO CONSTRUCT TWO TENNIS
COURTS WITH A TWELVE FOOT HIGH ATHLETIC FENCE
AND COIN-OPERATED LIGHTS AT WATSON 7FIELD .

WHEREAS, the Monroe County Development Review Committee,
during a regular meeting held on July 20, 1994, conducted a re-
view of the request filed by Monroe County, and, based on the
application, the staff report and the testimony of the committee
members and the public, recommended approval of the project with
conditions; and
WHEREAS, Lorenzo Aghemo, Planning Director has duly consid-
ered the recommendation of the Development Review Committee and
the evidence and testimony submitted; and
WHEREAS, therefore, the staff report by Lorenzo Aghemo,
Planning Director recommends that the Board of County Commission-
ers approve the project with the conditions enumerated in Develop-
ment Review Committee Resolution No. 17-94; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT:
The Board of Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, agrees
with the recommendation of the Development Review Committee and
hereby approves the major conditional use application submitted
by Monroe County to construct two tennis courts with a twelve
foot athletic fence and coin-operated lights at Watson Field
and one basketball court at the Big Pine Leisure Club with an
athletic fence with the following conditions:
1. The proposed parking lot at Watson Field shall be setback
from the road twenty (20) feet;
2. A "Class D" Buffer of native pineland species shall be provid-
ed between the basketball court and the north property line of
the Big pine Leisure Club;
3. Once the development permitted by this resolution is complet-
ed, no additional recreational facilities shall be approved at
the Big pine Leisure Club and Watson Field;
4. Recycling bins shall be provided by the applicant at both
Watson Field and Big pine Leisure Club;
5. The applicant shall submit a drainage plan for each site
prior to the issuance of a building permit;
6. "Key Deer Crossing" signs shall be posted by the applicant
adjacent to the Big pine Leisure Club on Lytton's Way;
7. "Illegal to Feed the Key Deer" and
shall be posted at both parks.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 20th day of July
