A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
GRATEFULLY ACKNOWLEDGING THE MANY YEARS OF BOARD SERVICE BY
OUTGOING COMMISSIONER WILHELMINA HARVEY; PROVIDING THAT
COMMISSIONER HARVEY IS FOR UFE THE MAYOR EMERITUS OF
MONROE COUNTY; AUTHORIZING COMMISSIONER HARVEY TO AWARD
CONCH CERTIFICATES TO THOSE WHO DESERVE SUCH AN HONOR; AND
REQUESTING THAT COMMISSIONER HARVEY CONTINUE TO ACf AS THE
GOODWILL AMBASSADOR OF MONROE COUNTY,
BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA hereby gratefully acknowledges the many years of service on the Board by outgoing
Commissioner Wilhelmina Harvey and in recognition of that service hereby provides:
a) That Commissioner Harvey for life retains the status as Mayor Emeritus of Monroe
County and the Fabulous Florida Keys; and
b) That Commissioner Harvey is for life authorized to award honorary conch certificates to
those that she finds deserving of such an honor,
The Board further requests that Commissioner Harvey continue to act as the Goodwill
Ambassador of Monroe County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, at a
regular meeting of said Board held on the 21st day of November, 2000.
