RESOLUTION NO, 218 - 1994
A RESOLUTION OF THE MONROE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE
STATE OF FLORIDA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES GRANT PROGRAM
TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CPR TRAINING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the State of Florida's Emergency Medical Services
Grant Program assists public and private organizations in order
to improve and expand their Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
systems; and
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Safety Department has recommended
that all county vehicles, first-aid kits, and CPR (Cardiac
Pulmonary Resuscitation) certified employees receive a pocket
face mask to carry in case of emergency and as protection for the
administration of CPR in the event of such a situation; and

WHEREAS, the purchase of the pocket face mask~~nd ~
equipment would qualify for funding through the EM~_:rv1atch\Wlg
Grant Program which requires a 10% cash match; now~heref~e

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSrONERS OE
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the County Administrator is ~reby
authorized to submit a grant application to the State of Florida
EMS Matching Grant Program to request funding for CPR training
equipment.
WHEREAS, certain
fails to meet sterile
replacement; and
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 21st day of July, A.D. 1994.
