A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A NINETY (90) DAY
l<lRITTEN NOTICE TO BE GIVEN TO THE CONTRAC-
TOR'S ASSOCIATION PRIOR TO ANY CHANGES TO THE
MONROE COUNTY BUILDING CODE; PROVIDING THAT
THE FLORIDA KEYS CONTRACTOR'S ASSOCIATION BE
RECOGNIZED AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF
THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN MONROE COUNTY,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Building and construction is an integral part of
the economy of Monroe County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, any change (s) to the Monroe County Building Code
will affect the citizens of Monroe County, Florida, now, there-
fore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
Ninety (90) day written notice shall be given
to the Florida Keys Contractor's Association prior to any inter-
pretive changes to the Monroe County Building Code.
Section 2.
Whenever an emergency occurs the Board of
County Commissioners may waive the 90-day notice.
Section 3.
The Florida Keys Contractor's Association
shall be recognized as the representative of the construction
industry in Monroe County, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida at a regular meeting of said Board held on
