RESOLUTION NO. 079 -1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING
THE FILING OF A GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGU-
LATION, COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT SECTION, AND
DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF THE SAME BY THE
PROPER COUNTY AUTHORITIES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board has been notified of the availability
of pass-through federal funds from the Florida Department of
Environmental Regulation, Coastal Zone Management Section, of up
to $50,000, to be matched by in-kind contributions.
2. That a priority activity under this program is improved
public access to existing beaches, particularly design improve-
ments for parking and rights-of-way.

3. That said Board recognizes existing parking prob~ms at
Key West Beaches for which the County may be ab~t to ~ssuni.e
maintenance responsibility.
4. That said Board hereby directs the execution of said
Application by the proper County authorities for the purpose
designing improved public beach access.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the~ day of February, A.D. 1988.
