RESOLUTION NO. 201 -1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY EXPRESSING SUPPORT
FOR THE STATE MEMORIAL, SM302 AND CALLING ON
THE FLORIDA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO
SUPPORT THE SAME; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
SIGN AND FORWARD THE SAME TO REPRESENTATIVE
RON SAUNDERS, AND TO SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE
JOHN MILLS, WITH A REQUEST TO MAKE IT PART OF
THE RECORD WHEN THE SAME COMES BEFORE THE
FLORIDA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
WHEREAS, the Senate of the State of Florida has passed
Senate Memorial SM302, which expresses opposition to the estab-
1ishment of a Constitutional Convention; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and County Commission of Monroe County
are of the judgment that said resolution is very meritorious;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNTY COMMISSION OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
That the Florida House of Representatives be
urged to support Senate Memorial SM302.
Section 2.
That Representative Ron Saunders be requested
to support said Senate Memorial and that the Clerk forward to
Representative Ron Saunders, Speaker of the House John Mills, and
Senator Larry Plummer copies of the same with the request that it
be made part of the record before the Florida House of Represen-
tatives.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
