RESOLUTION NO. 202 -1988
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE AD
HOC COMMITTEE ON CODE ENFORCEMENT AND ESTAB-
LISHING A PHILOSOPHY CONCERNING FUTURE CODE
ENFORCEMENT IN MONROE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, a report has been submitted to the Monroe County
Commission by an Ad Hoc Committee that contains numerous refer-
ences, recommendations, and findings that relate to the Code
Enforcement Program in Monroe County, and
WHEREAS, the Code Enforcement Office has responded thereto,
and
WHEREAS, in consideration of both the report of the committee
and the response given, it is considered by the Board of County
Commissioners of Monroe County, that a philosophy should be
expressed pertaining to Code Enforcement, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee
concerning a tightening and more widespread exercise by Monroe
County in the field of Code Enforcement be initiated and that the
Code Enforcement activities of Monroe County be accelerated so
that all citizens of Monroe County shall be subject to a policy to
improve this feature and requirement of our County government.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held on
the f7t?vday of ~, A.D. 1988.
