RESOLUTION NO. 030 -1989
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZ-
ING THE MAYOR/CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO
EXECUTE A SOFT-GUARD AGREEMENT WITH PITNEY
BOWES CONCERNING SOFTWARE PROTECTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is
hereby authorized to execute a Soft-Guard Agreement with Pitney
Bowes, a copy of same being attached hereto, concerning software
protection.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 17th day of January A.D. 1989.

Terms and Conditions
1. This is an annual agreement that will protect you for all qualified PROM or Disk replacements, for up to six qualified
events each year (12 month period).
The Soft-Guardsm agreement includes the following types of events:
- Postal or carrier rate increases or decreases
- Changes in service provided by carriers (e.g., required new report formats, or geographical expansions)
- All Zip Code or zone changes
2. This agreement excludes the following types of events:
- Custom rates changes
- New classes of service offered by carriers
- New PROMs or Disks needed to establish a new home Zip Code because of a change in equipment location
3. The price of this agreement will be guaranteed for the next three years (36 months) from the effective date.
4. If you trade in equipment covered under this agreement, you will receive a credit for the unused portion of the agreement
to be applied against the purchase of a new Soft-Guardsm agreement for the new equipment.
5. The annual price of this agreement is billed in advance and is non-cancellable and non-refundable.
6. This agreement will be automatically renewed annually, unless you or we have sent a written notice of termination at
least (90) days before renewal.
