A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORI ZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA
DEJ'ARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION UNDER THE
USBD OIL RECYCLING GRANT PROGRAM AND DIRECTING
.THE; EXECUTION OF SAME BY THE PROPER COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation
is accepting grant applications under the Used Oil Recycling
Grant Program, and
WHEREAS, the said program will offer non-matching base
grants of $7,500 with a maximum grant of $25,000, for the
installation or improvement of used oil collection centers and,
WHEREAS, Monroe County, Flo!ida, desires to participate in
the said program for the improvement of existing used oil
collection centers at the Cudjoe Key, Long Key, and Key
Largo landfills, and the Marathon Public Works facility, and,
WHEREAS, improvements to the said used oil collection
centers will promote the greater health and safety of Monroe
County residents and the protection of our environment, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Municipal Service District
Manager is hereby directed to submit an application to the
Florida Department of Environmental Regulation under the Used Oil
Recycling Grant Program for the improvement of the said used oil
collection centers.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 17th day of January, A.D. 1989.
