A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADMINISTRATIVE
BOUNDARY INTERPRETATION OF THE PLANNING
DIRECTOR IN LAND USE DISTRICT MAP BOUNDARY
INTERPRETATION NUMBER 8, LIDA SUBDIVISION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
The administrative decision of the Planning Director in Land
Use District Map Boundary Interpretation Number 8, dated August
8, 1988, attached and incorporated by reference, is hereby
acknowledged, found to be in conformance with the standards set
forth in Sec. 9.5-3(m), Monroe County Code, and approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 16th day of August, A.D., 1988.

Boundary Determination for Lida Subdivision

Backqround:
Lots 3-40 of Lida Subdivision are occupied primarily by
mobile homes. The Land Use District Maps signed January 19,
1988, show Lida Subdivision as IS.
Recommendation:
Move the URMjIS boundary to the centerline of 85th Street
oceanside and keep lots 41, 42, 1 and 2 as IS as shown on
Attachment 2.
Findinqs of Fact:
1. The designation of the above property as Urban
Residential Mobile Home District (URM) rather than Improved
Subdi vi sion (I S) is consi stent wi i:h Section 9.5-205, Purpose of
the Urban Residential Mobile Home District, and the uses allowed
within the district, Section 9.5-234.
2. The determination was made by the Planning Director and
based on the following relevant data:
On the zoning maps in use before the Land Use Plan, lots
41, 42, 1, and 2 were BU-2.
Lots 3-40 are occupied primarily by mobile homes.
3. Ana1ysi s of the exi sting uses on the property and
surrounding properties indicate that the essential neighborhood
characteristics support the determination to designate the area
as URM.
4. Lots 41, 42, 1 and 2 can develop with low and medium
intensity commercial retail with the designation of IS.
