BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
The administrative decision of the Planning Director in Land
Use District Map Boundary Interpretation Number 10, dated AuguSt
,
4, 1988, attached and incorporated by reference, is hereby
acknowledged, found to be in conformance with the standards set
forth in Sec. 9.5-3(m), Monroe County Code, and approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 16th day of August, A.D., 1988.

Background:
The applicant is requesting a boundary determination on the
referenced property which presently falls within two zones:
Native Area (NA) and Improved Subdivision (IS). A site visit was
made on May 5, 1988, resulting in the following determination.
An engineer's survey was not provided.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the NA/IS boundary be located along
the hammock/transitional boundary on the property. This boundary
can be marked by the biologist on site and placed on an
engineer's survey at such time as development is anticipated.
Findings of Fact:
The property has a strip of low hardwood hammock running
along its northern boundary. The hammock covers an approximate
area of the property that is a maximum of 170 feet long (running
east-west) and a maximum of 45 feet wide (running north-south).
The remainder of the property consists of mangroves and a strip
of transi tiona1 wetlands lying be1:ween mangrove and hammock and
apparantly being about 25 feet wide. The upland/wetland
(hammock/transition) boundary therefore runs across the property
in an approximate northeasterly direction.
It could not be accurately determined whether there is enough
upland area for a single family dwelling.
