RESOLUTION NO. 524-1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM
THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
REGULATION AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF SAME BY
THE PROPER COUNTY AUTHORITIES.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation,
Coastal Zone Management Section, has awarded Monroe County a
grant in the amount of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000), said
grant to be used for an engineering study to redesign parking and
public access to the various beaches in Key West and,
WHEREAS, the Monroe County Tourist Development Council,
District 1 Advisory Committee, has approved a contribution of Six
Thousand Dollars ($6,000) toward the completion of the said study
and,
WHEREAS, Monroe County and City of Key West staff shall offer
in-kind contributions towards the completion of the said study,
and,
WHEREAS, the said study will offer solutions to traffic
problems which are a continuing danger to the health and safety
of residents and visitors alike, now,
THEREFORE, BE

RESOLVED
BY
THE
BOARD
OF
COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the said grant is
hereby accepted and that the County Administrator is hereby
directed to execute all necessary documents in furtherance

Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
