WHEREAS, ~(DE!P~~tm~~~, of Planning has reported to the
Board of County Commissioners that the Department of Community
Affairs has proposed to change, by rule, certain portions of the
Monroe County Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations
pursuant to the authority vested in it by Florida Statute
380.0552(9), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said statute, the Department of Commu-
nity Affairs is obligated to consult with the County government,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. The Board shall provide one of its members in attendance
at such workshops and meetings as shall be scheduled by the
Department of Community Affairs in order that the requirements of
consultation as provided by statute shall be satisfied.
2. The Board shall request the Planning Department to
likewise co-sponsor with it the workshops aforementioned so that
the Department of Community Affairs shall have opportunity for
consultation and input from the general public in connection with
its proposed amendments as aforesaid.
3. The Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy
of this Resolution to the Department of Community Affairs, P.O.
Box 990, Key West, Florida 33041.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 18th day of October, A.D. 1988.
