RESOLUTION NO. 631 -1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZ-
ING THE MAYOR/CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO
EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF KEY WEST AND MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
CONCERNING USE OF FACILITIES AT THE COMMUNITY
POOL IN KEY WEST FOR THE COUNTY'S SENIOR
CITIZENS' NUTRITION PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is
hereby authorized to execute an Interlocal Agreement between the
City of Key West and Monroe County, Florida, a copy of same being
attached hereto, concerning use of facilities at the community
pool in Key West for the County's Senior Citizens I Nutrition
Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held

WHEREAS, the City of Key West, Florida (hereinafter referred to as
"CITY") and Monroe'County, Florida (hereinafter referred to as
"cOUNl'Y'~ desire to enter into an interlocal agreement whereby COUNrY
will use facilities at cm's Community Pool facility for provision of
nutrition services to senior citizens,
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby mutually agreed between CITY and
coum.Y llS follows:
1. CITY will allow COUNTY to use the downstairs (west side)
meeting room of the Community Pool facility for the provisio n
of nutrition services by the Douglass Nutrition Program for Senior

Citizens. COUNlY may use said room for a period of six (6) months from
the date of this Agreement during the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 1 :30 p.m.
Monday through Friday.
2. COUNTY shall provide all necessary tables, chairs, a11d eatiQg
utensils for the Program, and shall install ceiling light shields
underneath each such light in the meeting room. In order to comply
with fire code provisions, no more than forty (40) persons shall occupy
the room at any time. Meals shall be brought to the building for
consumption; no cooking shall take place on the premises.
3. COUNlY hereby indemnifies and holds CITY' harmless for allY and
all claims of any nature arising from the use of the property as set
forth her~.in, and agrees to defend and pay any and all costs for said
defense, including attorney's fees and court costs, should such
claim(s) occur. In the event liability insurance is carried by COUNlY
providing coverage of the subject matter of this Agreement, CITY shall
be named on said policy as an additional insured and a copy shall be
made available to CITY within thirty (30) days.
4. This Interlocal Agreement. shall take effect when executed by.
both parties and shall remain in effect for six (6) months from the
date of executiori.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
Interlocal Agreement to be executed by the undersigned duly
authorized officials.
