RESOLUTION NO. 643 -1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING
A "HOMESTEAD VALUATION LIMITATION" CONSTITU-
~ TIONAL AMENDMENT.

fBWHE:RE~, such an amendment would provide for limiting
increases in homestead property valuations for ad valorem tax
purposes to a maximum of 3% annually and also to provide for
reassessment of market values upon changes in ownership, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
1. That said Board hereby supports the amendment of the
Florida Constitution to include a Homestead Valuation Limitation.
2. That the Clerk of the Board is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to Senator Larry
Plummer, Representative Ron Saunders, the President of the
Florida Senate and the Speaker of the Florida House of
Representatives.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
