RESOLUTION NO. 665 -1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR/CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND
THE HANDICAPPED JOB PLACEMENT COUNCIL OF THE
FLORIDA KEYS, INC. , CONCERNING FUNDING FOR
FY88-89.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MONROE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Mayor/Chairman of the Board is
hereby authorized to execute an Agreement between the Board of
County Commissioners of Monroe County, Florida, and the Handi-
capped Job Placement Council of the Florida Keys, Inc., Inc., a
copy of same being attached hereto and made a part hereof,
concerning funding for FY88-89.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Monroe County, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Board held
on the 6th day of December, A.D. 1988.

AGREEMENT
AGREEMENT, made as of the day of
1988, between the Board of County Commissioners of Monroe County,
Florida (the "Board'.), and the Handicapped Job Placement Council
of the Florida Keys, Inc., (the "Council").
WHEREAS, the Council provides employment, training, and
evaluation to persons with disabilities living in Monroe County;
and
WHEREAS, it is provided in the Council's Articles of Incor-
poration that the purpose of the Council is to increase the
economic independence of such persons and reduce their dependence
on public support; and
WHEREAS, the Council has employees whose salaries and
expenses must be paid; now, therefore
IN CONSIDERATION of the services to be rendered by the
Council to the Board and to persons living in Monroe County, it
is agreed as follows:
1. The Board shall pay to the Council the sum of $19,950
for the year beginning October 1, 1988, and ending September 30,
1989, on a monthly reimbursement basis.
2. On or before the 15th of each month the Council shall
submit to the Board its request for reimbursement, which shall
include check numbers, payees, and the amounts paid.
3. In order to provide for accountability the Council
shall keep the cancelled checks representing its expenditures
available for inspection at all reasonable times.
4. After the Clerk of the Board examines and approves the
monthly request for reimbursement the Board shall reimburse the
Council. However, the monthly payments shall not exceed in the
aggregate the amount of $19,950 during the term of this contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Board has caused this instrument to
